Charter fees include daily rental rates, Amtrak and freight tariffs and switching fees and on-board services. Our daily rental rate is $975. per day when the car is transporting passengers and $250. per day for positioning movements and layover days. The stationary charter rate is $600. per day. The Amtrak and freight tariffs include all charges related to transportation, switching and storing the car. These fees vary depending upon itinerary and schedule times. On-board services include crew wages, lodging, linen cleaning and any incidental charges. Charters are handled on a trip-by-trip basis. A quotation will be submitted once a confirmed itinerary has been agreed upon. This quotation will include all costs known to us including car rental rates, movement costs, and service charges. Tour or excursion packages, if requested, will consist of the above costs as well as any additional charges included in the package. A letter of agreement will be signed before any confirmation of charters is finalized. Our letter of agreement will contain a quotation which will represent our guaranteed cost and itinerary at the time and date it is issued. The guarantee will go into effect as soon as we receive the trip deposit and a signed copy of the letter of agreement. Changes in itinerary, destination, additional on-board services, additional passengers, or additional costs relating to the transportation of the “Salisbury Beach” will result in a new quotation for your trip. GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS:POLICY - All charges except those quoted under the categories of our daily rental rate and on-board service fees are rates quoted to us by private companies. These rates are not subject to additional mark-up. QUOTATIONS - Quotations and charter costs are inclusive of all rates and tariffs levied by those companies whose services we require. These quotations are subject to change if the cost of these services change. DEPOSIT - A 10% deposit of the full price of the charter is required before any confirmation of charter is made and is due and payable 45 days prior to the desired departure date. FULL PAYMENT - Payment in full is required no less than 30 days prior to the departure day set by the trip itinerary. CANCELLATIONS - A full refund will be made if you cancel 30 or more days prior to the departure date, minus a service charge of $200. and any out-of-pocket expenses incurred by us. For cancellations made less than 30 days prior to departure date, we will refund all payments less the 10% deposit made at the confirmation of the charter and any cancellation penalties and out-of-pocket expenses incurred by us. RESPONSIBILITY - Overland Rail Travel acts only as an agent and cannot be held responsible for the service or act of omission by the rail car owner, operating carrier, or other operators used in conjunction with trips, including injury to passengers, damage to, or loss of personal baggage or personal items occasioned by a carrier or operator for any cause. No responsibility can be assumed for itinerary changes, equipment, delays, or additional expenses which may result due to circumstances beyond our control. The right is reserved to vary from the published itinerary as may be required by Acts of God or for passenger safety or carrier necessity. “Salisbury Beach” is not handicap accessible.
